Aspect ratio, resolution and image count

Understand output shape, pixel detail and why settings affect the quote.

Shape and detail are different

Aspect ratio is the relationship between width and height. Resolution describes output size. A tall image is not automatically higher quality than a square one. Match the shape to the final placement before generating.

Choose a practical format

1:1 suits square placements. 9:16 suits vertical full-screen clips and stories. 16:9 suits landscape video. These are common creative formats, not guarantees that every model supports each one. Read the available options in the selected tool.

Model-specific combinations

Image Studio only offers combinations supported by its active path. For example, GPT Image 2 has constraints on Auto and square output sizes. If a resolution disappears after changing the ratio, choose one of the available combinations rather than assuming it is an error.

Check count and cost together

Image Studio allows 1–4 images per run. Each output is its own paid request. A larger count or higher-tier output can change the total. The quote displayed immediately before Generate is the relevant price for those settings.
